Kruk Feels Phils Got What It Takes
Speaking on behalf of his teamates first baseman John Kruk seemed overly confident that his team would do well against an outdated 1925 Pittsburgh Pirates team.
" We arnt the least bit worried," said Kruk, "I think after the draw was made we all just wanted to have a couple of beers and relax. We never get nervous or stressed, we are too confident of a group."
Regardless, the Phillies are slight underdogs as they get ready to start the series behind ace Curt Schilling in Forbes Field.
The 93 Phils are known for their old school type of play which should make for a down and dirty battle against a team from the hardball past.
The 1925 Pirates remain one of the proudest teams in their franchise's history winning a title during the dominant age of the Yankees.
