The minor league stats are adjusted to that years major league equivalences, you should notice that as a player moves away from age 27/28 either older or younger his equivalences change as they also do as the league level moves away from the majors. there is an Age/Level matrix that is used for adjustment as well as raw league totals.

What this means generically is that major league players get no adjustment at all as they are already there , a 27 year old AAA minor league player will get a little adjustment and a 27 year old D league player will get a lot of adjustment. Then of course there is the good hitter in a pitchers league adjustments and good pitcher in a hitters league adjustments and all the rest. There are something like 120 total possible adjustments made to each player the amount depending on the things it depends on. Which are a lot of things yes indeedy.

The other challenge is that I've only completely done 1871-1884, 1940-1974. so those years will be most accurate, others less so.
