Hey,

I just got a laptop from a guy who owed me some money for some consulting, its an older laptop, but upon examining the hard drive, I come to find an installed version of OOTP 13, which of course has me seriously psyched up. I love this game and have been playing OOTP 8 for a long time. I fired the game up and everything seems to be going great, download almost all the things you can ingame and went out and got GS database everyone was talkng about. I played around a little determining which way I wanted to start and decided I would just use the game database provided and begin in 1871 and have some fun, while I compared this to the 8. Cruising along as the Cleveland GM, having a fairly successful run as GM, 5 championships, 11 or so trips to the championship, but along comes 1898. This happens almost every time at some point in the replay. I save, walk away, come back and the game starts to load, but it says its the wrong database version. I attempt to reload and reload and shutdown and reload and not once time does it work. I finally, hit the button to bring in an ootp 12 version but it gets to the part where the white load bar comes up and it stalls. I am at a loss as to what to do.

I thought the game was legitimate, but I am not sure about that. I know its not updated but the final update appears to be cosmetic to me and I am not worried about that.

I love this game, had to add this name as I forgot my previous board name and gave up trying to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
