I had problems with 2 custom leagues that had a lot of teams(45 and 56). I have a third custom league now with 28 teams and hasn't crashed(playing in Feb.). The first 2 leagues have become unplayable. Been playing in commish mode.

I think you need players and have a draft.

Try starting another league but smaller. There should be another update shortly.
