I simmed through the date when the two teams would first meet, May 17th.
On May 17th, the two teams are tied for first place with 17-5 records.
The top team is the Cleveland Sergeants and the bottom team is the Charlotte Battle Cats.
All of the Battle Cats ML pitchers are RHP. All of the Sergeants ML pitchers are LHP, except for Alex Serrano. However, Serrano has gotten little work. In 22 games, the Sergeants SP have pitched all but 1 inning. There is no DH in either league.
The Battle Cats lead the league in HR...with 10. They are 7th in team defense.
The Sergeants are actually leading the league in scoring and defense.
The Battle Cats are leading in pitching.
The first game will take place in Cleveland. Lou Galvin gets the call for Charlotte and Sandy Koufax will be making his first appearance for Cleveland. Carl Hubbell got demoted the bull pen, where Koufax had sat without appearing in a game, all season.
I know this is kind of a dynasty posting, but it is only going to be one season, so I am posting it here. I will detail the games played between the HOF squads, but I am not going to attempt to do what the dynasty guys do as far as detailing the league happenings.
The interest I have here is in how the HOF squads do against each other, and that is all. I admit, though, it is a substantial interest.
