Live Sim has an issue that it has a lot of people hitting the server at the same time, due to the continual page refreshes that it needs to keep the Gamecast constantly updating. So, it doesn't kill the CPU (each call to the server is very simple), but it can really slow some servers down just because they can't handle the traffic.

Your old friends at the GUBA hit this the second time we ran Live Sim for the playoffs... the first one went fine, though, for whatever reason. Regardless, it requires a rewrite of how Live Sim/Gamecast works to make it not hit the server so much. It's something I kinda knew I would need to do at some point, but now that the GUBA hit it I might do it sooner rather than later.

However, if Live Sim isn't running, the rest of OU should work fine.
