We have actually had two vacancies crop up in the past couple days, a real rarity for this league.
Redsand - From 1989 to 2003, the Desperados were dominant, going to the playoffs 15 consecutive times. They won 5 championships in 14 years. However, the team has fallen on hard times, losing more than 100 games the past two years. They are off to a respectable start this May, but they are not loaded with talent -- although there is some talent in their minor league system. The team is financially solvent, but there's no bankroll sufficient to go out and buy a lot of quick fixes. Looking for a GM with some patience to rebuild.
Point Breeze - Team has not won a championship in the past 42 seasons, but the Salty Dogs did grab the wildcard the last two seasons. Off to a subpar start this season, but they look to have some good talent on the major league roster. But they are in a bit of a money jam -- they have an average budget and an above average payroll -- so this team is looking for a GM ready to offer some clever financial management.
Shoot me an email if you'd like to adopt one of these.
