I don't even know what happened here. The ball like, ricocheted off the left field wall and ended up in right field and the left fielder chased it all the way down. The animation never caught up to the actual play.

Also, just in general, the animations for outfield depth don't always seem to match what's happening in the game. For instance, I've seen plays where the center fielder appears to retrieve a ball at the warning track, but then the game gives me to option to send a player from third to home and the ball is described as "very shallow". I think this also contributes to a visually frustrating thing, where my outfielders appear to be retrieving balls in shallow territory and not throwing to third or home, so they appear to just stand there while the player runs the bases, lol.
