...Exactly what the title says. I put together a 64-team tournament using historical exhibition mode as explained in
this post. Basically I took any team from 1901 through 2015 that achieved a +200 run differential on their season, and put them in a spreadsheet, and ranked them according to Pythagorean Winning Percentage which is:
runs scored^2/(runs scored^2 + runs allowed^2)
There are 91 such teams in that 115 years of baseball history, so it is quite a rare achievement, but it does demonstrate dominant play over a 140, 154, or 162 game schedule, and that's what I was shooting for. I took the top 64 and set up brackets, which I shall outline in the next post...
