BRACKET UPDATE:
http://challonge.com/L64
Another round is over, and 8 teams are moving forward into the Quarter Finals of the Winners Bracket.
Sandy Koufax for the 1965 Dodgers, at this moment holds the MVP of the tournament, as he managed to stop the most offensive team so far, the 1993 Blue Jays, and defeated them with a score of 5-2, and earned his 3rd Win in 3 games started.
Randy Johnson's record of 15 strike outs didn't last long, as Ron Guidry, from the 1977 Yankees, fanned 17 batters of the 2011 Cardinals, 17K's that his team didn't appreciate much because the yankees still lost 3-2.
Behind the 1993 Blue Jays, the surprise of the tournament IMO, the 2002 Angels, are now the most offensive team, scoring 8 runs in their victory against the 2012 Giants. They have 27 runs scored in only 3 games.
Winners Bracket Round 4 is composed by the next games:
Quote:
1. 1985 Royals vs. 1992 Blue Jays
2. 2002 Angels vs. 1995 Brooklyn Dodgers
3. 1986 Mets vs. 1965 Dodgers
4. 2011 Cardinals vs. 1980 Phillies
|
With this being said, these 8 teams have a spot guaranteed in the best 8 teams of the tournament.
