The Yankees finally beat the Rangers and are a good bet to do it again.
Blomberg put the Yankees on the board in the first with an RBI triple.
Biittner tied the game with an RBI single in the third.
After three: Texas 1 New York 1.
Lovitto came through with an RBI single in the fourth to give Texas the lead.
The Yankees tied it in the sixth thanks to a throwing error.
After six: Texas 2 New York 2.
Jeff Burroughs came up with a pinch hit RBI single in the seventh to give Texas the lead back.
In the bottom of the eighth, the Yankees got a leadoff single and the Rangers turned to Horacio Pina. And he sent the Rangers to the ninth with the lead.
Texas got a runner on first with one out in the ninth and the Yankees brought in Jack Aker and he kept it a one run game.
Pina closed it out with a 1-2-3 ninth as the Rangers continued to have the Yankees number.
Final score: Texas 3 New York 2.
