Nettles got things going for the Indians with an RBI single in the top of the first. Davis added a run-scoring double.
Nelson led off the bottom of the first with his 10th double of the season. He would eventually score on a wild pitch.
Dent tied the game in the bottom of the second with an RBI single.
Davis topped the 20 RBI mark for the season when he smacked a 3-run homer in the top of the third.
After three: Cleveland 5 Texas 2.
Harrah got an RBI on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth.
Nelson made it a 1-run game with an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth. Biittner followed up with a game-tying RBI single. It was the Rangers 10th hit of the game. Burroughs then gave the Rangers the lead with his 10th homer of the season, a 3-run blast. John Lamb replaced Dunning on the mound for the Indians. The Rangers then loaded the bases with two out before Mason grounded out to end the inning.
After six: Texas 8 Cleveland 5.
Dent scored on a throwing error in the bottom of the seventh.
The Indians got a runner on first with one out in the top of the eighth and Bill Gogolewski was brought out to replace Bosman on the mound for the Rangers. McCraw hit an RBI double for the Indians 10th hit of the game. Gogolewski struck out Blanks for his 10th K of the season.
The Indians brought the tying run to the plate in the top of the ninth but Chambliss flew out to end the game. The Rangers had back-to-back wins for just the second time this season.
Final score: Texas 9 Cleveland 6.
