The second game of the series in Baltimore. The Rangers have put RP Paul Lindblad on the DL with a rotator cuff strain. Casey Cox will take Lindblad's place in the bullpen.

In the bottom of the first, a 2-run double put Powell over 40 RBI on the season. Blair followed up with his own RBI double. Baylor brought Blair home with a sacrifice fly.
Rain began to fall in the bottom of the second. Bumbry singled to extend his hitting streak to 15 games. The rain stopped a batter later. An error then led to an RBI single by Blair. A walk loaded the bases with two out. But Robinson struck out to end the inning.
Cuellar was perfect through three.
In the bottom of the third, the Orioles took advantage of another error as Bumbry knocked one in with a double.
After three: Baltimore 6 Texas 0.
Rain returned in the top of the fourth.
And left again in the bottom of the fourth.
Mason reached on an error to lead off the top of the sixth to break up the perfect bid. Billings followed up with a double to break up the no-hitter. Dent then put the Rangers on the board with an RBI single. Maddox brought Billings home with a single for his 10th RBI of the season.
In the bottom of the sixth, Bumbry got an RBI triple and that was all for Hand as Kevin Kobel took the mound for the Rangers with a runner on third and nobody out. Blair hit a 2-run homer for the Orioles 10th hit of the game.
After six: Baltimore 9 Texas 2.
The rain returned once again in the bottom of the seventh. With a runner on first and one out, the Rangers bullpen was hit with another injury as Kobel left after hurting his leg. Casey Cox came on to pitch for the Rangers.
A 36-minute rain delay came in the top of the eighth. Nelson got an RBI single.
Howard smacked a 2-run homer in the top of the ninth.
Final score: Baltimore 9 Texas 5.
