The relatively low game rating for Svechnikov probably tells part of the story, I suspect he was playing poorly enough defensively to detract from his voting total. Hughes doesn't have a particularly good one, either, but it looks like he was at least good enough on D that he got some PK time. My guess is he was just a hair ahead of Svechnikov for the final nominee spot. But I don't like that the points leader was completely left out; I think I'm going to have to make a bit of an adjustment to the top scorer a boost when MVP is being determined.
