Friday is in the books, Alexandria crushed Texarkana 15-5.Elam Vangilder got the win to even his record at 7-7. The Aces banged out 17 hits. Cool thing is, Hank Aaron is finally back off the DL. Aaron hasn't played since 06/27. Aaron made his presence felt right away going 2-4 with 2 RBI and 2 walks.
Birmingham had a 3-0 lead over the Captains in the 4th inning, but then the wheels came off the bus. The Slammers Dave Dravecky gave up 5 runs, 4 in the 4th and 1 in the 5th. Birmingham would end up losing 8-3. Owney Carroll picked up his 16th win for the Captains.
Ken Griffey Jr. went 3-4 raising his average to .364. Luzinski went hitless and is now at .357.
