The Asros clinched the AL West today. At 91-61, the defending champs have a 11 game lead over the Mariners.

We got today off before heading to New York. We'd face the Yankees for three, and would see Sonny Gray (8-10, 3.49 ERA), Luis Servino (11-8, 3.33 ERA), and Mashiaro Tanaka (!2-7, 4.66 ERA).

September 21st, 2018: We opened the series in the Bronx with Sonny Gray (8-10, 3.49 ERA, 1.23 WHIP) taking on Carlos Rodon (1-6, 7.88 ERA, 1.92 WHIP). He's due for a good start, right? Nah, he'd rather pitch poor and lose 5-2.

The Minnesota Twins clinched a playoff spot today. At 90-65, they are just half a game behind the Indians.

More playoff news for the AL, the Oakland Athletics have been eliminated. At 73-82, they are 20.5 games out of first.

We looked to avoid a sweep with Kevin Gausman (11-7, 3.57 ERA, 1.23 WHIP) taking on Mashiaro Tanaka (12-7, 4.66 ERA, 1.21 WHIP). It took 10 innings, but Brett Garnder hit a walk off single off Pedro Araujo and the Yanks finished the sweep with a 4-3 win.
