I'm still on 16 since my iPad won't support 18, but since the engines are so similar, I thought I might get an answer here.

According to my team info (Front Office) page, I have no money to spend on free agents, despite being well under budget. See attached.

I understand the extensions figure, since it looks at future contracts, but the free agents figure should be as simple as budget minus payroll for a one-year contract. So my questions:

1. Why don't I have $11 million for free agents, assuming I only offer one year contracts?

2. Why might the player payroll figure change during the off season when there were no contract moves made? I didn't sign or release anyone, it was after arbitration and free agents filing, etc. Yet my payroll went up. Any idea why?
