Feeder League Help
Here's my vision...
I have a pretty standard MLB league. I'm trying to make a specific type of feeder system into it though.
I want an in depth high school feeder system into it. I would like to have each US state to have four teams that play each other with ONLY players from that state. Then at the end of their season, have a big United States tournament in the feeder system. Here's what I've tried so far and how it failed.
First attempt... Add the feeder through league functions.
Option one, make every state it's own division. This way I get my end of season tourney, but teams have players from every state.
Option two, make several small feeders. This way I get every team to only have players from their state, but I lose the ability to have a tournament. (Associations won't work this way.)
Second attempt... Manually build each feeder by adding leagues. I started doing this and could keep every team with it's own state's players AND I could still have associations. Sounds awesome right? Here's the problem... If I choose high school for league level, I get players with very low potential and my majors talent level decreases dramatically over the years. If I choose major league level (but still change the created players age), I get 15 year old players that are five star, but already fully developed.
Ultimately, the second way seemed like the way to go, but I can't seem to figure out how to make a league that has some high potential players that are completely undeveloped yet.
I've thought about using the Create a player option and manually creating "raw" players, but I'd have to do this 50 times every season before the draft. This seems unrealistic for me to do.
What thoughts do you have?
