Terry Forster took the mound for the White Sox in the bottom of the eighth. He struck out Billings but left the game with a back injury and was replaced by Cy Acosta.
Horacio Pina took the mound for the Rangers in the top of the ninth. With a runner on first and one out, Melton grounded into the game-ending 6-4-3.
The White Sox had 12 hits in the game but committed 4 errors.
