I may have reported this same play the other day. Runner on 1st. Batter hits ball to short left field. Left Fielder holds ball forever, then throws to SS who then throws to third base but batter is safe at third. PBP indicates it was left fielder, not SS, that threw to 3rd base and PBP says it was a double.
