I like to play custom leagues with historical players - usually making a league with all the rookies season of a franchise from 1998-latest (which is know 2019).
So i usually create a MLB league with just AAA and AA then import all franchise rookies with the settings/players attached.
Sure doesn't look like the ratings are always just using the IMPORTED SEASON to calculate ratings. Some examples (see attached):
- Carson Kelley @ 2018 with 13/20 POWER and EYE
- Luke Voit @ 2017 with a 15/20 POWER
- Tommy Pham @ 2015 with 16/20 POWER and 14/20 EYE
Just some Cardinals example but it seems in those cases it just more than just their imported season to calculate rating as all those players breakouts haven't happened yet.
