Defensive ratings are three-year base, but I also use entire career for potential ratings on import -- I just realized that this may be the issue, although it doesn't affect any other positional ratings (e.g., early-career Cal Ripken does not have a 3B Experience rating).
Player development is enabled -- I don't think I touched that and may go ahead and disable it since this league is going to run for one season.
