I've been trying to figure out a way to set up historical playoffs, and I can't seem to find a way to do it. For example, I would like to set up the 2001 playoffs as they were set up in real life, and play it out to see if the Yankees still beat the A's, if the Mariners capitalize on their 116 wins and go to the World Series, if the Diamondbacks still win it all anyway, etc. The closest thing I've been able to figure out is to create an historical league beginning in 2001 and sim the season, which gave me similar results to reality, but not quite the same results. Any ideas on how to set this up? Is it even possible?
