Now let's get to introducing you all to Tyler Grace, the current General Manager of the Minnesota Nocturnauts. I'll try to keep this as brief as I can, of course, but it may be a little more in-depth than many of the other introductory posts that will follow later in the thread. As for a picture or pictures of him, you'll likely have to wait a little while longer, at least, I think, folks. With no further ado, then, let's start to get to know Tyler Grace here at least a little bit, if we can.

Tyler Grace was born on November 22, 1899 in Baltimore, Maryland, to Ellis Cody and the former Slaabovia-born Rifuplai Uditi Hallbrunn, as their first son and child of three. He has a younger sister named Nezzi and a younger brother named Ethan, born in 1902 and 1904, respectively. His mother, however, is only about one-eighth Slaabovian, as far as he knows currently, with the other roughly seven-eighths of her ancestry mostly coming from southern and eastern Asia, with some other ancestors from random other areas of the world. His father's ancestry mainly comes from northern and central Europe, but also includes occasional appearances of ancestors and other family members from central Africa, and rarely even diverse parts of South America.

Tyler spent about the first five or so years of his life primarily living in the area between Baltimore, Washington and Annapolis, normally, while his father was serving in the Navy for several years both before and after his birth in Baltimore. However, after his father left the Navy, he found himself moving with his immediate family to Minnesota, in very short order, when Ellis unexpectedly inherited some land and various other assets from his own grandfather, even though Tyler really wanted to stay in Maryland at the time.

Much to Tyler's surprise, he found himself eventually adjusting to life in Minnesota better than he'd originally thought he would, and spent most of the rest of his childhood and adolescence living mainly in central Minnesota near Long Prairie, Brainerd, and other nearby towns and cities, with a few brief relocations for his father's work to the Mankato or Duluth areas of Minnesota. Ultimately, though, he finished high school as a member of the St. Peter High School class of 1918, while he and his family were in the Mankato area because of his father's job with one of the local papers mainly as a sports columnist for them.

It wasn't long before Tyler found himself in the Duluth area again, and attending college at the University of Minnesota's Duluth campus. While he was there, he first met not only his future wife, Relvirra Sagumu, but also Garrett Salvador and his wife Japhia. Garrett and Japhia were with Relvirra the first time Tyler met her, and several weeks after their meeting, Tyler realized that Relvirra was the one for him. Although it took him a while longer to win her heart, and considerable effort, Relvirra eventually accepted his proposal of marriage. Tyler married Relvirra in 1921, and after a few years of spending time in various other countries in the world, they ultimately decided to live near Hinckley, Minnesota, as a married couple, with Tyler often traveling on certain business trips to various locations all over the Midwestern United States in connection with various family commercial assets, for example. He also would play occasionally in baseball games mainly between various people from several nearby church congregations, but not very well, often, in truth.

When their children started coming in 1926, it wasn't long before Tyler had to stop playing baseball, especially after breaking a leg while sliding into a base, among other injuries that eventually caused his playing skills to decline too much for his tastes and all so that he could continue to play ball adequately enough in his life. By the time his second son Tuvuhant was born in January 1935, his active baseball playing career had essentially been over already for about two or three years, in truth. He began working in front office-type positions for several smaller semi-pro teams in the Duluth area, and stayed in frequent contact with Garrett Salvador, among others, for a good long time afterwards.

By the time the United States finally entered World War II on the Allied side of things, Tyler and Relvirra already had five children, with the youngest only a few months old, at most. Seeing as he already had a family, he was not forced into military service as an active-duty member. Instead, he was allowed to continue working as he'd been doing at the time of America's entrance into World War II, for assorted sports teams, mostly ones based in or near Duluth, Minnesota.

Of his five children, only his oldest of three sons, Kelton, is clearly interested, at least to a degree, in sports, but his other four children have not yet made up their minds if they might also want to do something sports-related in their lives for a living. He won't push, but he thinks Tuvuhant may be the best potential athlete in his family later on in his life, just the same. And hopes that both Kelton and Tuvuhant might decide to consider pursuing careers for them both in their lives very seriously very soon, as well.

Tyler was one of the people who suggested to Garrett that he seek to own a baseball team at some point, although he was still only in college at the time. And ultimately, the opportunity came for Garrett and others to do so, when locations were chosen for the first teams that would be part of the American Baseball Refuge Society professional league, about a quarter-century later, more or less. They have often associated with each other since their first meeting, even if it's only through cards and/or letters at times, but most often, they've associated with each other in person. A good deal of trust exists between the Salvador and Grace families, and chances are quite good that will remain the case for them both for quite a long time in the future, as far as anyone can currently tell well enough.

When not working, Tyler often spends a good deal of time with his family, although he now will not see Kelton as much as he used to any longer, for Kelton decided to go out West for college, somewhere near San Francisco, California. Just what school he's going to college at, he still hasn't told Tyler or Relvirra, for reasons not yet known to them. But eventually they will find out why, and when they do, it may not help the relationships between Kelton and/or his parents, at least, very much for a while, if not for a good long time. Tyler also spends a lot of time reading foreign-language novels, newspapers, attending to his various collections of stamps and other items, and reading and meditating in relation to many things and/or people in the Bible, and even the things and people he sees out in the real world, especially the wide variety of wildlife and plants out in it. His favorite Psalm in the Bible is Psalms 16, but he also likes many of the other Psalms and other parts of the Bible a great deal.

That's enough information about him for at least a little while, I think, folks. Now I don't know if he or any of the people related to him or associated with him will appear in my latest story, just yet, but we'll have to see, of course. Next up on the list of major personnel for the Minnesota Nocturnauts will most likely be their current manager, Pat Taber. Please wait for it, and I'll try to have his profile posted here as soon as I can, for sure. Until next time, then, I'll close this here. CD out.
