I don't know too much about online leagues. However, in solo leagues, there are configurable options for which box scores are generated and saved. One of those options is for minor league box scores. When minor league box scores are NOT selected, there is still a link to try to view them, but there is no box score at the other end of that link because none was generated.
My guess is that minor league box scores were not enabled for your league.
