We need more flagpoles! Arrows clinch PL pennant in 3-0 shutout of Spirit
Ito En Park was rocking again, as the Shizuoka Arrows got out of their funk to slam the door on the Kirin Spirit. Arrows starter Joe Rogers got the hero interview with 8 shutout innings, striking out 10 Spirit, with closer Narihira Kimura setting the franchise record for most saves in a season with his 41st. Scoring came from RF Luis Alejandrez's 2-run triple in the 5th, and 1B Tomosaburo Morioka cashiing him with a single. That complets the team's sixth Pacific League pennant, and the third in a row.
