This series turned in game 2. Roberto Osuna left in game 2 with 2 outs in the 9th with an arm injury, out for the series. His replacement, Will Harris, got the final out in game 2. The Astros bullpen lost game 3 with a 1-1 tie broken in the 8th, Harris blew game 4 in the 9th, game 5 was lost in the 12th inning, and in game 6 the Mackmen broke a tie in the 8th against Zack Greinke.

This series deserves a note for all 7 games. In game 1, Cy Young outlasted Chief Bender 2-0 in 10 innings. Game 2 was a Philly blowout 11-2. Game 3 turned into a 15 inning marathon won by the Athletics 9-7. In game 4 Bender outdueled Young 2-0. Game 5 was a Boston blowout 11-1. Game 6 went to the 17th inning with Boston winning 3-2. Then Game 7 featured Young and Bender again and Bender again got the 2-0 win.
