Since the Rays are not in it, I'm going to report all the games in this one post, so if it's incomplete just check back later.
Game 1:
Game 2:
Big win for the Cardinals to go up 2-0, but from the last series we all know the Angels play better on the road.
Game 3:
As predicted, the Angels struck back on the road. Anthony Rendon's 2-run single in the 9th completed the comeback for LA as St. Louis continues to miss their injured closer Seranthony Dominguez.
Game 4:
Yordy Richard, who won Game 7 of the NLCS for St. Louis, came through big again and this time the Cardinal bullpen held up its end of the bargain as St. Louis is one game away from its first World Series title since 2011.
Game 5:
Congratulations to the St. Louis Cardinals, World Series winners for the first time in 16 years. This is their reward after narrowly losing last year's Fall Classic to the Rays after being up 3-2. Noah Syndergaard was outstanding in the win, and he adds another World Series ring to the one he received in 2023 in helping the Rays to their first title. Nico Hoerner was named Series MVP thanks to his going .364 with 2 HR and 6 RBI. An impressive accomplishment for the Cards considering they lost the best pitcher in baseball, Jack Flaherty, to injury late this year (as well as their closer Seranthony Dominguez) yet still won it all. A repeat will be more difficult next year with Flaherty slated to miss most of the season.
