Maybe, in real life this would never happen because human gm's have bias and probably in this case loyalty would be the bias.
The computer AI would probably look at it like this.
Altuve is making millions, lets just call it 100 million. If the computer values him at 80 million that is a 20 million dollar loss.
If Betances is making 2 million and the computer values him at 1 million. That is a 1 million dollar loss.
So the computer AI sees this as a 19 million dollar win.
I never seen him to to defend this as a trade that would or would not happen in real life. He was just trying to explain how the computer AI works.
