- MANAGER: Casey Stengel
- HOME PARK: Easton Ballyard
- TOP POSITION PLAYER: LF Willie McCovey (8)
- TOP PITCHER: N/R
- TOP PROSPECT: 1B Lou Gehrig (33)
- 26TH MAN: Cody Bellinger
This looks like a team that will start competitive and stay that way throughout. McCovey is ready to rock and roll. Bellinger showed in Spring Training that he’s ready to match it with the big boys. Cabrera and Dahlen also seem likely to star from the off. Then they have Gehrig, Greenburg and Snider all projecting to be the superstars one would expect them to be. If their pitching starts off light, it is unlikely to stay that way for long – not with Alexander, Roberts and Gibson as their top 3 and a bullpen led by Eckersley. To round it off nicely for the Blues, they are up there with the best defensive units in the league. I am eagerly anticipating the yearly battles between KC and Atlanta, which is shaping up to be one of the PBL’s fiercest rivalries.
