Walkers news: Sept. 30 -- St. Louis 4, Des Moines 2

A two-run home run from Fernando Tatis Jr. in the top of the first inning staked Des Moines to an early 2-0 lead, but the Harvesters would not score again as St. Louis rallied for a 4-2 win at Busch Stadium (2006).
Justin Oates reached on a one-out single off River Walkers starting pitcher Alex Pazos just ahead of Tatis Jr. 17th homer of the season.
Tatis Jr. charged a 1-0 pitch 407 feet over the wall in left field.
St. Louis pulled to within 2-1 in the bottom of the second.
Jared Thomas singled with two outs off Des Moines starting pitcher Juan Amezquita and scored on a Jovan Gill double.
An inning later, the Walkers took the lead on the fifth homer of the season, a two-run blow, from September callup Hector Tavarez.
Wes Cohen took Amezquita deep with two outs in the fifth to complete the scoring.
Pazos tossed six shutout innings after the Tatis Jr. homer.
Overall, in seven innings Pazos (3-7) allowed the two runs on three hits. He struck out four and didn't walk a batter.
Cory Tiller pitched a scoreless eighth inning.
The Harvesters loaded the bases against Gil Meier in the ninth, but didn't score as the right-hander earned his second save since being called up from AAA.
