The St. Louis have finally learned the severity of Kyren Paris, and it isn't good.
The 32-year-old shortstop has torn ligaments in his ankle and is expected to miss seven weeks.
Paris suffered the injury in an 8-2 win over Green Bay on April 20.
In 13 games this season, Paris had hit .289 with one homer and three RBIs.
Getting the callup from AAA Memphis is 31-year-old shortstop Izaac Pacheco.
Signed in the offseason from Cleveland, he has played 16 games for the Redbirds this season with one homer and six RBIs.
