The St. Louis River Walkers have placed center fielder Jose Segura on the 10-day injured list after he suffered a herniated disc during its 3-2 win over Peoria on April 11.
It was the second major injury of the young season for the Walkers, with Jackson Miller already going on the IL with a concussion.
Segura is expected to miss up to three weeks.
Segura, 30, was batting .333 over the first four games with one RBI.
Getting the callup from AAA Memphis is 23-year-old outfielder Mark Waterson.
