Or would I not have to even enable the negro leagues and then the players would just be able to feed in from the yearly amateur draft/show up in the free agent pool, assuming I disabled the color barrier.

Thank you for keeping the DB's alive! Much appreciated!
This DB does indeed contain players from the Negro Leagues, plus PCL, Cuban, Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, and others I may not remembering. I use it very sparingly. Try to keep my drafts to 2 to 3% Spritze, and the rest regular. I use a random number generator to figure out which non-MLBers are coming in. It works quite well. I wouldn't want to use Spritze full on, but that's just me. Definitely disable the colour barrier to use Negro Leaguers.

Not sure about straight up OOTP play, because I'm a Random Debut convert, since quite a while back. I wouldn't play any other way now. That may take me out of being able to help with specific questions on the straight up game, because I think I started with RD the second it became available.

I also only use five rounds worth of players in each draft. No minor leagues, unlimited reserve rosters. My theory is that you have to keep it simple for the AI, but again, that's just me.

As for the Spritze DBs, the toughest thing was figuring out how to make them accessible via Google Drive. The rest was easy. What better way to honour the man, than to have his work live on as long as possible?

Off to find the Dr. Doom link for luckymann. I'm bowled over by how good it is. If a simpleton like me can figure out how to do it, anybody can.
