I'm not so worried about the FG any more, as LSt and I have been working a lot together on various things and I just use his ones now.
Fingers crossed I'll be able to get Doom's tool working and dive deep.
Cheers pal.

Ah yes. You're the one who's been putting LSt through his paces.

They're coming out really well. His work is amazing, and hopefully we can get the ids, both in the game, and in the FG file to start to matchup, in order to make things more seamless.
Used DrD's Data Converter to fix poor ole Dan Marion (marioda01). He had zero RL stats in game, so I took his Spritze card, went to work on it with DrD's DC, and imported him, using the historical players import tool. In a situation like his, the Spritze stuff is better, because you can isolate the years he played in, by deleting off all the extraneous years around them. The default stats are much more complicated, and it wasn't a good fit, to make stuff up. For correcting basic stats, probably the default would work well, but to give a guy who doesn't have any, using Spritze makes more sense, because they're already there, and you don't have to make up the more complicated ones. He originally came in as a hapless 1B, who couldn't hit, couldn't play a position, couldn't do anything really, and would've been thrown out with the other broken toys. Thanks to DrD's utility, he can now be a pitcher (threw about 300 innings IRL). Nice to be able to correct these things, and have them stick. Not possible to have his changes stick, because of needing to use Spritze, but I'll know what to do with him next time I see him.
I'll probably continue to correct minor little, non-stats related, clerical issues in-game, but I now have a weapon to deal with messed up player stats, and it is a game changer. Let me know if you have any questions about it, or pose them to DrD in the thread I linked to. Cheers!
