Here we go...
It's still a long series but the Rays are really on their way now after thrashing the Astros 11-2 at Publix Park in Game 2 behind a monster performance from Andy Ruggles, who's already having quite a postseason having been named MVP of the ALDS. He was 5-5 with a pair of homers including a 3-run shot in the first which got them going for good. Josh Alexander also went yard with a couple of men on to break it open in the 4th and that was more than enough for Jeff Brockman, who turned in another solid outing. Brad Jackson will get the ball in Minute Maid Park in two days' time trying to give the Rays a true stranglehold on the series.
