The Rays played home run derby tonight in Cincinnati, blasting 5 round-trippers in a 14-3 rout of the Reds to take a 2-1 series lead. Not going to recap the scoring as you can read it all above. Jeff Brockman pitched well if not overpowering in beating his old mates but there was one damper on the night's festivities. Dan Gregory strained his forearm making a throw from the outfield and is done for the series. He was missed in the second half of the season and he'll be missed the rest of the way but now they only need to split the final four games. Jose Mendoza will try to give the Rays a commanding 3-1 series lead tomorrow.
