Well this should be interesting. Dwight Evans hit home run number 473 to tie Babe Ruth for most home runs ever. He also managed to suffer a significant injury and will be out of the lineup for at least 5 weeks. It's late July so he will probably return late August, early September. It's going to be a blast to see if he can hit number 474 over the course of the last month. Based on his performance this season, I have to think retirement is in the works when the season ends. Either that, or he will simply remain a free agent for all of next season and then retire.
Mike Trout is once again out of action. Dude has been a monster when healthy, but he has more injury shortened seasons than he does seasons with 140+ games played.
I've enjoyed this league a lot, but I really do think from now on I will keep my leagues a lot smaller. 32 teams is just too many for me, especially with free agency turned on.
