Agustin Perdomo took a shutout into the bottom of the ninth inning -- when David Tapley hit a lead-off homer -- but he still threw a complete game and powered by four home runs St. Louis downed Des Moines 7-1 at Minute Maid Park.
Perdomo (5-4) scattered six hits -- five singles and a double -- over the first eight innings before Tapley hit his 13th home run of the season.
Perdomo retired the next three to end a game in which he threw 90 pitches.
He struck out five and didn't walk a batter.
The River Walkers took the lead on the fourth pitch of the game as lead-off hitter Ryan Wibbenmeyer powered 1-2 pitch from Harvesters starting pitcher Chris Novotny 404 feet deep into the Crawford Boxes in left field.
Chris Gibbs made it 2-0 when he led off the fifth with a homer off Novotny.
St. Louis broke the game open with a three-run sixth against the Des Moines bullpen.
Wibbenmeyer led off the inning with a double and scored on a Nick Shaw single.
Manuel Coke later hit his 16th homer of the season, a three-run blast to right-center making it 6-0.
Rich Dodson made it 7-0 with a homer off Teddy Loetzch with two outs in the ninth.
