The Auckland Athletics captured the OL S253 crown by virtue of a rare tiebreaker, claiming a 30-22 advantage over Port Ruppert in OL run differential. September shutout wins of 7-0 and 10-0 over the Doug Outs largely fueled their margin of victory. They also completed a season-ending road sweep of the Outs to catch Port Ruppert and make their scoring surge the deciding factor.
In PT play, Auckland, Port Ruppert, and Bushwood made the post season. Doug fell short and will remain in silver for 2028. Port Ruppert and Auckalnd will go to gold for sure. I'm fairly certain that Bushwood will ascend, even if they fall in their wild card series. Of course, that assertion comes with the caution that the knowledge derives from a source who didn't notice that the playoffs had changed for PT 23 until last week.
