The St. Louis River Walkers have placed first baseman Nick Shaw on the 14-day injured list after he suffered a hamstring injury during a 9-5 win over Twin Cities on April 21.
Shaw is expected to miss up to five weeks.
In 18 games this season, 16 starts, Shaw has hit .305 with two home runs and six RBIs.
Getting called up from AAA Memphis is 34-year-old outfielder/first baseman Esteban Gomez.
In nine games at Memphis, Gomez has hit .350 with two homers and 11 RBIs.
