1952 The Rebirth of Baseball
Premise
In this alternate timeline World War II is far more devastating to the US then in our timeline. By 1942 travel is limited and all major sports leagues, including the National and American Leagues, susspend operations. Without the major leagues baseball returns to the era of local teams playing against other local teams. During the war the US ecomony falters and the war does not end till 1948. Finally...some men decide to give major league baseball and rebirth.
New Owners Promise the Birth of a New Baseball League.

Today at a meeting held in New York Tim Gignac, Matt Miller, Matt Provencher, and Bob McMullin announced the founding of a new baseball league that will cover the United States. The yet unnamed league is projected to have teams in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. The owners stated that they are looking at adding more teams and plan to have their first season in 1952.
