I dunno. I just know in my game the fictional players in the Nippon league all had their nationality changed and names randomized. I was using the Nippon Greats in my league so in essence all were “fictional” and they all got changed. I didn’t take the time to see if other Japanese players were changed. I’ll do that later and update you.
