Whitaker:
An elite pitching prospect whom we went over slot to sign, Whitaker has some drool-worthy potential ratings. Which is why it will be disappointing when next spring we see 10-15 points knocked off them in a development report update (maybe not, but it always seems that way). He is out of high school so the usual caveats apply.
Samuels:
Listed as a pitcher but we really took him for what you see all the way over to the right: 75 contact and 70 power potential as a hitter. These type of players always seem to be the market inefficiency of OOTP drafts so I had to grab one. He might not end up the worst pitcher either so there's some two-way possibility.
White:
A high-school catcher, always a risky demographic but White could follow in our long line of catchers who rake.
Hicks:
A safer (and cheaper) pick, Hicks could become a very good hitter and hopefully won't take as long do so as he's a college junior from VCU. Also looks to be a competent OF though CF would be pushing it.
Hardy:
A risky high-schooler who could have good stuff but will need to develop a third pitch to stay out of the bullpen and might be too homer-prone anyway.
