I still wonder in the case of Boyett if importing the game from 23 to 24 to 25 had anything to do with his overall improvement? I wonder if Brad was using higher adjust/weaken settings, instead of the defaults, if Boyett would be so good? Plus, I still say it looks like he's in one of those runs where he's simply repeating the same season. It may take an injury to snatch his butt out of Kris Davis mode. I think one of the main reasons I prefer historical over fictional is, the reality of recalc ensures players careers are full of authentic peaks and valleys from year to year. When I look at the stat pages of fictional players, too many of them lack the highs, lows, back to high, down to the middle etc. that you see recalc players endure. It's also why I simply can't stomach 5 year recalc. Smoothing out all the rough patches feels so artificial to me.

I just finished 1957 with historical minors turned on last night. First time I've tried a setup with both coaching and scouting turned off. So far in my league, I've seen very few career minor league players on big league clubs. I'm using 100TCR. Storylines are off.
