A new series now...
In less than 24 hours the Rays have gone from being three outs away from taking a 3-0 lead in the World Series to being tied at 2 games apiece after tonight's 6-3 loss to the Dodgers. Tampa Bay had to deal with the dual threat of Shohei Ohtani, who homered off
Shane Baz and held the Rays to 2 runs in 5 1/3 innings, but thanks to
Carson Williams' 2nd homer in as many nights (of his MLB career) they were tied, and evened things up again in the 8th against future HOFer Clayton Kershaw on a
Yandy Diaz double. But with bullpen options limited after last night's 16-inning marathon they went with
Edwin Uceta in the bottom of the inning and it was a disaster as he allowed 3 runs without retiring a batter, enabling LA to win. So we're back to even with
Shane McClanahan getting the ball tomorrow in Game 5.
