In game schedule change question

I'm playing an 8 team nineteenth century league. When creating the league, I set the schedule to a 28 game schedule. Naturally the schedule generated was only a month or so long, but since I wanted only one game per week per team I cleared the schedule in league options and recreated it one game at a time in the schedule editor. The games go until october now and they are all set as regular season games. Now that the season is underway, I see on the league calander in may that the " regular season ends."

Is this going to create a problem when I cross that date? Will the standings at that point be regarded by the program as the final standings even though there have only been 4 games? I know I should have just created a schedule XML file instead of screwing around with it in-game.

Anyone who can answer this I would really appreciate
it. Thanks.
