NHL playoff seeding issues
I am currently playing a modern era game and usually the three division winners are seeded in the top three spots. However during my current season, all of the 5 Pacific division teams have less points than the 8th place team in the conference, and as a result, the game does not seed the division leader in the #3 spot - they remain in 9th.

Here is a screen shot of the final standings - as you can see San Jose won the Pacific division, but ended up being seeded 7th.

There's a bug right now that may prevent the proper seeding from occurring if there's a tie for division leader. Do you recall seeing the seeding wrong even when there was no tie?

Jeff,
I did notice that even if the teams were not tied, the bug would occur, but only if the division leader had less points than the 8th place team. If the teams were tied, and were above the 8th place playoff line, you would get the odd seeding like you see in the graphic above - not the 3rd seed but either the 7th or 8th seed. |
