Speeding up the off-season?

My playoffs are about to end and I was wondering why it takes so long too complete an off day in the off season(usually takes 15 minutes to complete one day).

Should I cancel expansion till the last moment or that shouldn't matter?

Not quite getting this. Playoffs are about to end which by definition means you can't be in the offseason yet. Can you clarify?

In my experience no day in season, playoffs and off-season takes more than a fraction of a second unless some other activity such as background saves, re-scouting or re-evaluation occurs. Even then a second or three is all it takes. I can't speak for expansion but that would be a special case.

In my experience, once the season is over and it's off season( no playoffs),it has taken 15 minutes to complete or finish one day.

During regular season play,it might take 5 minutes to finish the day, once the all the games have been completed.

Then you have some issues I don't understand. Can you provide more details? Everything takes seconds in my experience.

Don't you have something like 300 teams in your league not including minor leagues? Do you have free agency on? If so, I'm not sure if you can speed things up.

I have 2 leagues(1 Major League,1 Minor League) with around 400 teams total. I'm not sure on the free agency.

I think it's the number of teams that is slowing you down. That's a massive league.

Would have been nice to mention that when expressing a concern.

Yeah I have a major league with 28 teams which equals about 150 teams if you include minors. I am in the midst of an offseason right now as I am simulating as quickly as I can for research purposes and it takes me about 15 min to get through an offseason. I don't manage any clubs either. 400 clubs would take a long time. Better find something to occupy your time.

Gotta be this. After I added accurate 2013 minors to my league when I go to 2013 + 2) ML 20 MILB in my EBL, 16 ML CBF 16 AAA, 16 AA + Australia + *** my game slowed down a ton. Takes my 15 mins to redo my lineup after I clear it. I have less then 400 maybe 250-300? Still something else seems wrong. I just simmed a week in July and it took 3 mins.

I have a full major and minor league set-up and it sure doesn't take 15 minutes. It takes seconds.

There is something wrong with either your game or your computer.

This off-season seems too be moving faster.

I am doing a daily finish day rather than setting a date. That,in the past, has slowed things down.

I had two expansion draft's,and if anything, the days seem too be moving quicker.

Might be worth a check to see how many levels of your league have stats being saved and at what levels. In my experience it increases the calculation time quite a bit.

I think he has like 98 teams in his major league. If he has free agency on, that's a lot of contract stuff the computer has to sift through on a daily basis.

Yes, 400 teams will slow you down a lot.

I have a top end computer I bought last year.

With a 30 team league, full minors I can whiz through seasons.

With a test league of over 350 teams it drags. That's a lot of data to process and write.

Nothing wrong with the game/computer, it's just the size.

And if you think it's slow now, wait another 10 or so seasons.
