Has this happened to anyone?
I am about 2/3 through my first season in career mode, GM'ing the 1983 Baltimore Orioles. I "sim" all games (I do not manually play the Orioles games) except every day I look at the Orioles Box score and make adjustments to the lineup as necessary along with all other daily GM tasks. So my game only progresses 1 day at a time.
since a little after the All-Star break, this has been happening to MIke Boddicker and I do not know how to correct it. Whenever Mike Boddicker pitches (starting pitcher) he faces 1 and ONLY 1 batter and then is replaced. The first time this happened I thought "OK, maybe he got injured and needed to be taken out". The second time this happened, I was like "What the Heck!" So I checked his player profile to see if there was an injury or some reason why he again ONLY faced 1 batter and then was removed. But NOTHING, no injury, nothing I could see that would cause him to be removed. The third time this happened, I was like "WHAT THE HECK!!! totally pissed off! so I again checked and nothing! so the next time Mike Boddicker was scheduled to start "I manually played the game" and of course everything went normal Mike lasted 7 innings, got the win and improved his record to 11-4. Hoping everything was back to normal, so on his next start, I "sim'd" the game and AGAIN, the computer pulled him after facing ONLY 1 batter. I am Irate now! This is not happening to any other Orioles pitcher, and again this ONLY began a little after the All-Star break, so 1/2 the season and been played without incident, and now this is this some "bug" in the game? has anyone experienced this? How do I stop this from happening again? or is my only option to "manually" play all of Mike Boddicker's schedule starts? Last edited by Chillidog; 07-06-2016 at 02:04 PM. |

not in front of the game right now, deployed in Turkey so when my shift is over, I will check this out and let you know the results.
did not even know this existed (meaning the pitch count), as well as did not know there were individual strategies for the players. do these supercede the "team strategies" found on the Manger's tabs? thanks for responding Last edited by Chillidog; 07-06-2016 at 04:41 PM. |

Yes, that was the problem. Boddicker had "3" where it should have been "0". And I know exactly how it happened, one of the screens that I access often, can be accessed by hitting the "F3" button, but I know on a seldom occasion I have hit the "3" key instead. So this is what must have happened. I hit the "3" and not the "F3" and so this entered 3 in Boddicker's pitch count %.
So now I know what to look for if this should ever happen again. agian thank you so much |
